Abstract

The use of caravans as regular housing in England has resulted in the approval of various
regulations in order not only to control the location of caravan sites, but also to tutor relationships
between caravan occupiers and the owners of the land where they are positioned.
The residential use of mobile accommodation in this way is completely different from the caravansfor-
tourism view of caravans in Spain, even affecting our concept of tourism camping. This paper
attempts to analyse all these questions and bring to light the issues that have arisen around them.
