Preuve psychométrique et analyse de réseau de l‘échelle d’intelligence émotionnelle chez les élèves des institutions confessionnelles

Résumé
INTRODUCTION. L’intelligence émotionnelle est une construction qui est étudiée selon trois approches : par compétences, par traits et mixte, ce qui a permis le développement de divers instruments qui ont mis l’accent sur l’adaptation dans différents contextes. La présente étude vise à démontrer les propriétés psychométriques et à analyser le réseau d’échelles d’intelligence émotionnelle chez des élèves adolescents provenants d’institutions confessionnelles. MÉTHODE. La méthode est instrumentale avec un échantillon transversal de 550 étudiants interrogés. Les données recueillies ont fait l’objet d’une analyse de fiabilité égale à ω = 0,933, ce qui a permis l’application d’une analyse de la structure interne basée sur une analyse factorielle exploratoire (AFE ; n = 280) et une analyse factorielle confirmatoire (CFA ; n = 270). Après avoir connu la structure factorielle de l’échelle, une analyse de réseau a été appliquée dans le but de montrer les noeuds et les arêtes qui reflètent les connexions entre les variables, ainsi que l’indice de centralité par variable. RÉSULTATS. Les résultats montrent que la structure originale a été significativement réduite à une structure factorielle plus robuste basée sur 22 items avec des charges factorielles supérieures à 0,5, dont la structure est corroborée par l’analyse AFC basée sur quatre facteurs de l’échelle d’intelligence émotionnelle avec un indice d’adéquation significatif (X2 < 3 ; valeur p < 0,001 ; TLI = 0,939 ; CFI = 0,947 ; RMSEA = 0,055). En outre, l’analyse de réseau de l’échelle d’intelligence émotionnelle a trouvé des noeuds et des arêtes représentatifs. DISCUSSION. Finalement, la valeur de l’échelle avec une structure basée sur 22 items mesure adéquatement l’intelligence émotionnelle et peut être utilisée chez les élèves.
