The concept of competence: its relevance to psychological development and education

Abstract
The term «competence» is examined in ordinary language and also its relation with other familiar terms in the natural history of learning (skill, aptitude, knowledge, and similar ones). Further, the meaning of this term is conceptually allocated in the framework of behavior theory, as a technical term useful in the analysis of psychological development and education.
