Abstract: From the study of the variants having the cancionero C of Ausiàs March regarding its printed source, this paper explores the linguistic profile of the copyist: this is a Castilian-speaking, who speaks Italian and knows relatively well Catalan. Given these linguistic features of the copyist and the volume codicological characteristics, which refer to Venetian manuscript preparation techniques, it is confirmed that this cancionero corresponds to the manuscript copied by Petrus Turró by costum Lilio Gregorio Giraldi circa 1546-1547, in Ferrara or Venice.
