This article presents a radiography of the phenomenon of festivals in a territorial area of strong contrasts both demographic and about the level of development: the province of Castellón. The objective is, therefore, to observe the possible implications that the distribution of current characteristic cultural events such as festivals with the emphasis placed on the rural areas of the territory may have. Thus, we wonder about the trends in terms of cultural festivals in the area and what are the most scheduled artistic fields. But it will also try to observe the more commercial or social nature of cultural festivals. With these and other variables recorded on the festivals, we will address the impact that these festivals may have on the sustainability of vulnerable territories.
