In this paper we thoroughly study the content of the B.5.4 manuscript (25) of the Biblioteca del Real Seminario San Carlos de Zaragoza, unpublished until now. It is an autograph manuscript containing «Notas y enmiendas a Julio César hechas por Jerónimo Zurita». Some notes to the Bellum Gallicum, Bellum Ciuile, Bellum Alexandrinum and Bellum Africanum constitute the manuscript’s main section, and concern mainly, although not exclusively, textual criticism. For the elaboration of these notes, Zurita handled several editions and manuscripts, some of which have been identified through the direct comparison of the texts.Downloads
