Abstract

The aim of this work is to show the innovating labour of the philologist R. Bentleius amending some ulcerosa loca in Tristia by Ovid. The humanist wants to show the active contribution of the editor. He subjets to revision the manuscripts, he does not want to do a servile use of them, also he insists on the importance of the emendatio ope ingenii.
