This paper has the purpose of presenting an Art of memory that for now had not been studied by researchers. There is no study on the author, Philippus Tridentinus, or on
his work, Ars memorativa / Artificiosa memoria, nor references in monographic volumes on Renaissance mnemonics. Therefore, this paper is an approximation to the figure of this humanist and above all to the contents of his work on memory. It is compared with other contemporary Central European treatises on memory. Is also analyzed the possible influence it exerted on later writers such as Leporeus and Spangerberg.
