Next Scientific Session

80th Scientific Session

The next Scientific Session of the SGE will take place on May 29, 2026 in Madrid.

The commemoration of the centenary of the 14th Session of the International Geological Congress, held in Madrid in 1926, as well as the inauguration of the hall that currently houses the Geominero Museum of the National Centre – Instituto Geológico y Minero de España (IGME-CSIC), has motivated a team from the IGME-CSIC and the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Minas y Energía de Madrid (UPM) to integrate this Scientific Session into the commemorative activities. For this reason, all those interested in the history of geology are invited to submit contributions related to that congress and its excursions.
