Una década de migración en Turquía y la trayectoria de su politización

Este artículo analiza la politización de la migración poniendo el foco en la frontera más conflictiva de la UE: Turquía. El caso de este país presenta particularidades en lo que respecta al sentimiento antiinmigración que se desprende de los debates electorales y en el ámbito político en general. Este trabajo examina las formas y los patrones de la (des)politización de la migración en Turquía mediante el mapeo de la trayectoria de una década de aplicación de políticas migratorias (2014-2024). Empleando un enfoque cualitativo mixto, que incluye el análisis textual de los discursos públicos de actores políticos, documentos políticos y datos primarios –recabados a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas realizadas a diputados de los principales partidos de la oposición–, el artículo presenta tres episodios clave que ilustran la complejidad y la naturaleza polifacética de la politización de la migración en este país durante este período.
