Data collection and analysis emerge as fundamental pillars for effective teaching decision making, which has been theorized in different studies on data-driven decision making and data literacy in the educational context. The study shows a steady increase in publications, citations, collaborations and geographic distribution among others, accentuating the growing importance of this area in the educational sphere. This analysis provides a panoramic view of the evolution of the field and encourages future research that, among other things, shows the effects of teacher data literacy for decision making in the educational context. In summary, the review highlights the vital relationship between the use of data and improved decision making in education, reflecting a steadily growing field of great global relevance.
