Heritage Education is a key element in the teaching-learning process throughout the Primary Education stage, and this is reflected in the school curriculum through numerous references on the use and presence of heritage in areas such as Art Education, among other. But to guarantee the presence in the classrooms of Heritage Education it is necessary for teachers to feel competent and familiar with it, since they are ultimately responsible for transferring the regulations to the school. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the perceptions that future Primary Education teachers have about the training they have received on Heritage Education and the potentialities of the use of heritage in the teaching of Art Education in two Spanish universities, the University of Valladolid and the Autonomous University of Madrid. To carry out the quantitative study, a questionnaire with the Likert scale model was designed and implemented through the Google Forms tool. The data obtained reveal that most future teachers consider that Heritage Education contributes to developing artistic creation processes, but only 37% indicate that they have received training in Heritage Education within the subjects of the Art Education area. This fact should be considered to transform our educational practices, as well as in the revision and reform processes of university study plans.
