From an interdisciplinary approach, this paper is about defining the condition of the contemporary urbanite and its spatiality. The conceptualization of the nomad opens new paths to think about the different mobilities, the construction of identities and the spatial transformations of the big city in the global and interconnected world. The study is based on three guidelines: an approach to the recognition of the contemporary "urban" subject and the change of its stable references by unstable references, the effects of technological mediation on nomadic life and the transformations of its environment, that is, the subject, its environment and mediation. The contemporary urbanite in constant ”wandering” is continually eroding the established sedentary, surveillance and control structures of the big city, instituting spaces of transitory and an ambivalent nature relations.
