Abstract

The paper attempts an analysis of the housing question in Brazil in the light of the new horizons for this ushered in by the historic election that brought Luis Inacio da Silva to power as President in 2002. In doing so, the author identifies the main challenges the new government is facing when putting into effect the Projeto Moradia a Project drawn up by its to redeem in middle term his pledge to set to rights the nation’s housing deficit.
