Costing the risk of forest fires in Spain

Abstract

The paper comments that while the risk of forest fires has been considered by various disciplines, there has
been precious little looking into its economic cost to date to then set about remedying this with an economic
analysis of the major issues and problems proper to the question, said analysis giving us results that might
serve to evaluate the cost consequences of cutting back the risk of forest fires in Catalonia.
