Visual Procedures in Mediaeval Preaching Arts

In this article we show some texts from ouer Corpus Artium praedicandi to value, firtly, the importance given in these artes to visual lenguage and, secondly, the classical functions given to it. In relation to this, we have paid attention to some aspects, as the development of simili throu semantical characteristics of compared terms and the special value of facies as a new type of metaphor.
