Analysis of Latin and Greek hapax in the field of Geometry in Martianus Capella

The purpose of this paper is to analyze a set of ten words documented from the Martianus Capella’s De Nuptiis Philologiae et Mercurii. It deals with the geometric meaning of some hellenisms. Capella’s text is the only witness not only in Latin but in Greek. For some of them there is no entry in any of the reference dictionaries, neither Greek nor Latin. For those that do exist, the geometric sense is not among their meanings or senses, so this is always new. In addition to identifying their existence, we intend to shed light on their meaning and conditions of use.
