Two studies on the Latin accent: metric and stylistic issues in Plautus and Seneca

This study aims to demonstrate the rhythmic role of the Latin accent, both in relation to the metric scheme of the verse and the scenic context. Though the analysis of two theatrical scenes by Plautus (Mil. 481-595) and Seneca (Tro. 524-704) there is a distribution of non-random word accents within the iambic senarius / trimeter.
