Abstract

Neurath’s economic work, besides having a utopian dimension, as we can see in his proposals of in kind calculation or qualitative measures of welfare, it also presents a critical side that has suffered an important lack of attention. Neurath rejects many of the concepts that are used both in the conventional economics and in the heterodox approaches. His work connects with critical visions that have been developed in the margins of economics and in other social sciences.
