Abstract

In-service learning is a right and a professional duty for non-university education teachers. Ongoing teacher training is supported by the Ministerio de Educación y Formación Profesional (Ministry of Education and Professional Formation) in collaboration with the Departments of Education of each region, educational centers and teacher training centers.

Given that mathematical competence is considered key and instrumental and the need to adapt teaching to the new times, this study aims to analyze the adequacy of permanent training programs for primary education mathematics teachers. The study carries out a descriptive-comparative analysis of the mathematical offer announced from the national and regional web portals focused on resources, digital supports, digital competence in primary education. There are many national and regional initiatives related to the formation of networks of teachers, students, free open educational resources, and different courses. However, the educational offer published by the autonomous communities is very uneven, almost all of them being very focused on the development of digital competence, relegating the rest of the competences. With the strengths and singularities of each autonomous community, the ideal website for permanent teacher training in mathematics is proposed.
