Abstract

Today, due to social evolution, the teaching profession demands a change in its initial formation in order to be able to give answers to a society full of uncertainties. This article focuses on a study on how university tutoring favors the creation of a privileged teaching-learning space for the reconstruction of students' practical knowledge during their university education as teachers, to become reflective professionals who can respond to future needs from a critical and situated thinking. Under the paradigm of qualitative research, based on a case study, a tutorial process developed around a Lesson Study cycle is addressed as an innovative methodology of collaborative research-action. The objective has been to analyze what provisions are put into practice when carrying out the work of tutoring with students of the Degree of Early Childhood Education. The results show how proper tutoring, together with a cooperative methodology, helps students' learning, influencing the reconstruction of their practical knowledge, as well as in the professional development of the university teaching staff accompanying him. In conclusion, the study examines the responsibility of university institutions in enabling the implementation of tutorials between university teaching staff and students in initial teacher training, as well as providing the conditions to carry out this work from a reflective and collaborative approach.
