Work treatments and ways of remuneration in wine-growing Catalonia (18th and 19th centuries))

Based on the concept of labour treatment, the aim is to understand the logic of labour relations and conditions in the framework of a specific agrarian structure. We study the case of the Catalan farmhouses that coexisted with small farms that had been generated through the rabassa morta contract. The specific characteristics of this structure explain the characteristics of direct labour. The changes in the 19th century can only be understood if we understand the previous reality from which they started.
