Abstract

The author sees Sports and Leisure Centres as having become a salient feature of great cities where they have also become the front runners in the spreading out of these into their territorial matric environment. In the light of these considerations, the author here holds that their siting, the territorial implications of this and the environmental impact of the same should be up for analysis be this in terms of what they are to offer when built as much as how they will alter or affect the zones that are to host them.
