Educational guidance in the ‘Revista Española de Orientación y Psicopedagogía’. A study diachronic and sinchronic (1990-2006)

Abstract

This paper on Educational Guidance is part of a wider research we have conducted on Guidance in Spain, based on articles published in the Revista Española de Orientación y Psicopedagogía (REOP) between 1990 and 2006. We used scientometric indicators, specifically those concerning content analysis: field and topic, impact, type and key words. The study combined both diachronic and synchronic analyses of the journal’s productivity. The results evidence the main theoretical and research trends in the field in Spain over this study period. The trends include studies on the Guidance Department, counsellors’ competences, the teaching/learning process and the attention to diversity.
