Resumen: Se analiza el papel que el motivo literario ha tenido en algunas de las propuestas críticas en torno a la configuración genérica de las Historias caballerescas breves. Un estudio de la historia crítica de su agrupación genérica permite un mejor acercamiento a su comprensión como ‘modelo narrativo’. El objetivo no es proponer una nueva clasificación, sino partir de la revisión de las propuestas ya hechas para clarificar las relaciones entre las obras.

Abstract: Analysis of the role that the literary motif has in some theoretic proposal on Genres’ configuration in Short Chivalric Romances. A study of the critical history of generic group allows a better approach to its understanding as ‘narrative model’. The aim isn’t propose a new classification, but to depart from the review of the proposals already done to clarify the relations between the works.
