Los centros escolares y su contribución a paliar el desenganche y abandono escolar

Résumé

El artículo ofrece una síntesis de aportaciones teóricas y de investigación recientes en torno al tema del desenganche y abandono escolar, que toman como foco de atención el centro escolar y lo que acontece en él. En sus distintos apartados: - Se justifica la estrecha relación existente entre el desapego o no-implicación del alumno en su formación y el abandono escolar, así como entre estos fenómenos y la experiencia educativa que les brinda y posibilita el centro escolar. -Se documentan dos grandes planteamientos sobre aspectos pedagógicos y organizativos de centros educativos que enganchen a los alumnos: Uno más en la línea de la eficacia escolar, otro en la de análisis críticos y socio-críticos. -Se comentan algunas de las propuestas de actuación sugeridas desde ambas perspectivas para paliar situaciones de desenganche y abandono, referidas a las relaciones y clima relacional del centro, el currículo y la enseñanza, algunos aspectos estructurales y las relaciones con familias y entorno.
