¿Cómo formar profesores de ciencias que promuevan la argumentación?: Lo que sugieren avances actuales de investigación

Resumen

Múltiples estudios muestran que los profesores de ciencias no están preparados para promover la argumentación. En este artículo se examinan los adelantos entre los años 2000 y 2015 en investigación en didáctica de las ciencias. Los hallazgos son empleados para fundamentar la necesidad de formar profesores de ciencias que fomenten esta habilidad de pensamiento. En tal sentido, el presente estudio se apoya en los avances consignados en la literatura para formular tres estadios como vía sustancial en la preparación de profesores que promuevan la argumentación. Los progresos de investigación que se señalan en cada estadio son promisorios con lo cual pueden ser atendidos (y enriquecidos) por programas de formación de profesores.
