We analysed 20 Bronze Age grindstones from the Montón de Trigo site to determine the origin of the lithic material used in their manufacture. The majority of the tools are made of granite or quartzite, lithologies that are found in the immediate viciinity of the site. There are two grinding stones with a diabase base, in this case, this lithology is located approximately 16 km from the site. Finally, another piece is made of calcium silicates, which are found at the same distance as the granites. This highlights the mobility of populations, at least over medium distances, for the procurement of raw materials.
