Abstract

This text presents the epilogue of Extremadura Saqueada (Ruedo Ibérico, 1978), on the fortieth anniversary of its publication. In this presentation, the author, José Manuel Naredo, recalls the process of gestation of the book, its main contents and reflects on the evolution of the business of the electricity sector in the construction of large infrastructures, a trend that was then pointed and continues in force. Naredo, together with the large team that elaborated Extremadura Saqueada, present and analyze a history of extractivism from a perspective of multidimensional domination, in which economic, ecological and social variables converge. A methodologically pioneering study that is still basic to understand the social fracture dynamics in Spain.
