Abstract

In this interview with Jesús Leal, we approach the understanding of urban societies and the process of formation and evolution of Urban Sociology in Spain. A conversation in which Professor Leal describes the social processes that are key in this discipline. From a critical and reflective perspective, urban sociology focuses on the spatial dimension of social, economic and cultural phenomena, basic dimension to explain the behavior of the inhabitants of these spaces and their problems.
