Abstract

This text aims to briefly address two main issues related to the book La noción de ciencia en Manuel Sacristán (Editorial Dykinson, 2017). On the one hand, we approach how this idea is built from the authors’ debates with Hegel and Engels. On the other hand, we also address the relevance of this notion for political practice and, specifically, how it influences Sacristan's position concerning environmental problems, which is similar to Neurath notion. All this highlights the importance of mediation between theory and practice, and the relevance of complementing modern technoscience with the ethical-political assessment of its development.
