Abstract

From David Harvey's Rebel cities, from the right to the city to the urban revolution, the aim is to analyze and make explicit the controversies and concerns that proliferate regarding artistic practices within the urban space as gentrifying agents. Although it isn’t a subject that he pays special attention to in his book, there are inseparable connections between these practices and urban developments from a political point of view. Thus, an attempt is made to locate the points of confluence between the possibilities of urban revolution and public art, or their dissent.
