Untimely Readings. Stuart Hall visits the “Spain of Change”

This article tries to build a theoretical-practical dialogue between Stuart Hall’s work and the political conjuncture in Spain throughout the last few years, by focusing on some moments where Hall’s (and his collaborators’) thought offers useful ideas in order to rethink some aspects of the so-called “institutional cycle” in Spain: the concept of conjuncture, the relations between Populism and Municipalism, the common (or the commons) and civil society, and the effects of ideological and state apparatuses in the context of emergence of the Far Right.References
