The press in the institutional cycle

Abstract

A brief overview attempting to draw some basic parameters for future studies on the media ecosystem close to the political forces emerged after 15M in Spain. In order to map out this media landscape, as well as the debates generated around the "institutional cycle", two broad axis are proposed. First, a topographic one, which tries to enumerate some of the most important media outlets: eldiario.es, Público , Diagonal / El Salto, CTXT, La Marea, InfoLibre, Cuarto Poder, Critic, Nortes or AraInfo. Second, a temporal one, focused on the cycle's episodes which have fostered more discursive production within the last years.
