The grey hair revolution: sexualities, gender and ageing. Conversation with Anna Freixas

Abstract

Sexuality in old age has traditionally been studied from medical or biological postulates. In this interview with Anna Freixas, an expert in the field, we discuss the contributions of this object of study from the social sciences as well as the future fields to be explored. From a feminist perspective, past and present obstacles to the experiences of sexualities, sexual desire and pleasure in these generations, as well as the medicalization of sexuality in old age and sexual experience from different sexual orientations, are explored.
