Abstract

In 1995, James Petras, an American sociologist and university professor, was commissioned by the Centro Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) to study, as a visiting researcher in Barcelona, the working conditions of young people and the impact on the labour market of the policies applied in Spain in recent years. A summarized version of the report is presented here as a classic text on the full version of the text that was published in a special issue of the Ajoblanco magazine in 1996. This selection gives priority to promoting a reading centred on the young generation in the nineties.
