Governance of the Municipalities Involved in the Sustainable Cities Program in Brazil

In this article the governance of municipalities participating in the Sustainable Cities Program(PCS) in Brazil is analyzed. This is a quantitative research in which the 275 cities and 300 indicators of the 12 axes available on the platform of this program has been applied descriptive statistics, correlation matrix, KMO and Bartlett's Test, commonalities, factor analysis and analysis principal component. Statistically, 21 cities and 13 indicators identified, perceiving that the governance program enables municipalities to offer, through the electronic platform for dialogue indicators in public spaces planning and development of cities. Theoretically, the role of some social movements involved in the reform of the State through the support of public administration, improving public action and the creation of non-state public spaces, which seeks to break with traditional forms of governance was also found Brazilian cities.
