Abstract

This theoretical article has the main objectives of critically analyzing the narratives and discourses used by far-right groups in the present, understanding the social and psychological mechanisms underlying the construction and dissemination of these narratives, and providing epistemological tools to dismantle said narratives. An interdisciplinary approach has been used, combining tools from the sociology of knowledge, constructivism, and social psychology, triangulating various qualitative information sources, such as content analysis of propaganda material, literature review, and secondary data on electoral trends. The main results include the identification of recurrent patterns in the narratives of the far-right, the analysis of the psychosocial mechanisms that facilitate their diffusion and acceptance, and the construction of epistemological guidelines for the dismantling of far-right narratives in certain "fields of struggle". The author emphasizes that the sociology of knowledge offers valuable tools to unmask and dismantle the narratives of the far-right, and stresses the need to strengthen critical education as well as the need for members of left-wing movements to acquire dispositions, skills, and knowledge (habitus) that allow them to epistemologically confront the narratives of the far-right.
