For some decades now, the silencing that exists regarding the role that women have played in all disciplines has been denounced. In sociology, the disciplinary corpus that has been bequeathed to us is highly masculinized, built only from the “fathers” of sociology when there was no shortage of female founders. The recent publication in Spanish of the book A World Made by Men or Our Androcentric Culture (1911) by Charlotte Perkin Gilman offers the opportunity to demonstrate the existence of female founders and their critical nature. Her feminist proposal has the greatest opportunity in this moment of patriarchal reaction. As now, at the end of the 19th century there was an advance in the social position of women, which began to be criticized under the term "gynecocracy." His response was to ask the question: why is there no talk of “androcracy”? Why is the power of men seen normally and that of women not?
