El centro vacío del populismo actual: la constitución antinómica del líder populista

Con los populismos de Donald Trump y Vladimir Putin como puntos de referencia, este artículo analiza las inconsistencias compartidas por las ideologías y estrategias populistas actuales. Se sostiene que el populismo actual está relacionado con el ser social multitudinario (multitudinal social being), al que aquí se define como la conjunción de dos tendencias antinómicas: la atomización neoliberal y una tendencia a la comunalidad. Las comunidades multitudinarias y sus interrelaciones muestran incoherencias y divisiones. La tesis que plantea este artículo es que un líder populista es el reflejo de dichas incoherencias y divisiones de las comunidades multitudinarias y, por lo tanto, no crea una doctrina coherente con una idea central que la sustente. El líder populista es un leviatán proteico que presenta una doctrina inconsistente y descentralizada desde su lugar estabilizado como punto de unificación imposible.
