Abstract

This article examines the reverse discrimination introduced by the Organic Law on the Equality of Women and Men in 2007 and discusses its constitutionality, considering that statutory establishment of gender quotas for elections could undermine the right of political association. From this point of view, its conclusions differ from the majority opinion of the Spanish Constitutional Court.
