Abstract

The idea of euro-communism began in the second half of the 70’s during a moment of crisis in both European social left and traditional right wings. The new political strategy came from the economic crisis of all Western European countries after the economic growth following the Second World War. At the same time the URSS economic development was showing its limits. These circumstances led the communist parties of Italy, France and Spain to criticise that system and propose a new political strategy in order to «take power».
