The future Chilean Constitution will be written with women

Abstract

The paper seeks to identify within the political agenda of the constitutional process a desire for participation, representation and inclusion of all sectors of society. And under the aforementioned qualities, examine and synthesize how the first constitutional process, under parity, was configured. For this, a description of the constitutional iter is formed, the main arguments presented before congress are detailed and that allowed the establishment of a constituting organ with an equal balance of gender. Lastly, the paper seeks to project the difficulties and challenges of the Convention transitioning from a descriptive system of representation to a sustantive approach to gender.
