Catalan politics during 1840-1843 was characterized by the existence of a powerful Trade Unionism. These Unions maintained close relations with some political groups: republicans and «progresistas». However, the key allies were the «progresistas». The Republicans were politically weaker and paid less attention to labour and union issues.Downloads
