Ways in which some of the more Arguable Aspects of the Housing Rentals Act of 1004 could be read
Keywords:
Ley de Arrendamientos UrbanosAbstract
The paper opens optimistically by seeing the Act as a worthwhile initiative which, if coupled with policy to encourage house renting could give said sector new life. The amendments suffered by the act are also mentioned. The author tells us then that the Department of Housing, Land Use Planning and Architecture of the Ministry for Development is ever attentive to the rentals issue given the importance of same as within the overall housing issue and actively encourages the renting of property as an answer to the present economic and social state of the nation. The many enquiries received over the last five years by the Ministry as to the Act have pointed up those aspects of it found most opaque and which offer difficulties in their interpretation, likewise those points at which it gives rise to friction as between its spirit and determinations and other, earlier legislation of less standing. The author goes into the problems arising and that have arisen from these aspects and gives the Ministerial Departments reading upon these.Downloads
