La formación inicial del profesorado de lengua extranjera

Resumen

En este trabajo, reflexionamos sobre diversas concepciones de formación del profesorado, los principios básicos que deben inspirar y regular dicho proceso, las exigencias de cualquier currículo de formación inicial, los componentes básicos del conocimiento profesional y los objetivos del currículo.

Puesto que las sociedades contemporáneas, en general, están sufriendo movimientos migratorios considerables que están configurando una sociedad cada vez más pluricultural y multiétnica, es lógico que la formación del profesorado de cualquier área curricular y en especial, la de las lenguas extranjeras, dedique un espacio importante a la interculturalidad y a la dimensión europea de la educación.

Otro aspecto fundamental de cualquier sistema de formación es la relación entre la teoría y la práctica así como las estrategias y técnicas de trabajo que se pueden emplear para integrar ambos componentes.

También presentamos varios principios que debieran inspirar la formación del profesorado en el futuro, centrándonos, sobre todo, en los cambios paradigmáticos que conlleva el sistema de convergencia europeo y en las competencias profesionales específicas que definen el perfil del profesorado de LE.

Finalizamos el artículo con un ejemplo práctico de investigación relacionada con el efecto que ejercen determinados aspectos del comportamiento docente en el alumna
