Resumen

It shows two online programs for initial teachers’ training. Future secondary school teachers are formed on two transversal core competencies: Informational competences and conflict resolution skills. The aim is to check the effectiveness of such programs, which help in improving the professional identity construction in secondary school teachers. For the study, a pre-experimental design with minimal control by pretest and posttest is applied. From a total population of 244 subjects, the sample is of 60 subjects, divided into respective training courses. The measured variables correspond to the three components of competence: know, know-how and know how to be. The results are very positive in the first two components –know and know-how- in both programs. Furthermore, the results confirm the difficulty of achieving improvements in the know how to be component in online training. Similarly, the results show high satisfaction of course participants. It ends concluding that improving on transversal core competencies is positive for the professional identity constitution in secondary school teachers, from their point of view.
