Identidad y seguridad en la competición por el poder en Israel

El lenguaje de seguridad tiene efectos inmediatos, constituye un speech act. Por medio del lenguaje de seguridad, un actor reclama el uso de medios extraordinarios para ocuparse de las amenazas que se presentan a la opinión pública; a esto se le llama securitización. Sin embargo, la seguridad no siempre es objetiva y a veces esconde, tras el argumento del interés general, los intereses de determinados sectores en su competición por el poder. Partiendo de un concepto de seguridad ampliado, proponemos la revisión del concepto de seguridad societal que aportan Barry Buzan y Ole Waever, que sugiere una seguridad basada en la identidad de las comunidades; y lo hacemos centrándonos en la experiencia israelí, donde seguridad e identidad van unidas en el discurso. Añadimos también una propuesta de sociología del poder: el discurso de seguridad es un recurso más en la competición por el poder.
