Permanentemente confinados: el impacto de la COVID-19 en la población refugiada palestina

Este artículo analiza el impacto sanitario, económico y social de la COVID-19 en la población refugiada palestina que se encuentra en las distintas áreas de operaciones de la Agencia de Naciones Unidas para los Refugiados de Palestina (UNRWA, por sus siglas en inglés), poniendo el foco en los campamentos de refugiados y en cómo la pandemia ha agudizado su situación de aislamiento, exclusión y desprotección. Con ello, este estudio pretende trazar unas líneas de análisis comparado sobre algunas cuestiones claves de los efectos de la COVID-19 en las poblaciones de refugiados de larga duración: el impacto en los campamentos permanentes y espacios suburbializados, la superposición de situaciones de emergencia prolongada, así como las deficiencias acumuladas en los sistemas de protección y acogida en entornos de conflicto armado y de exclusión.
