Abstract

This article reflects on some of the elements of the Spanish democratic State that have undergone or are undergoing transformations, due to the impact of the Internet. There are four fundamental elements: 1) the Parliament and representative democracy; 2) the right of participation in public affairs; 3) the formation of public opinion; and 4) the freedom of information and the rights of Article 18.1 of the Spanish Constitution. This essay aims to set out a debate and present a review of the literature, but without drawing any conclusions.
